The stable update for the CMF Phone 1 is 1.44GB, bringing new features such as customizable lock screens, refreshed widgets, a revamped app drawer, improved quick settings, and Google’s Circle to Search. The update is rolling out gradually, and can be installed via the “System update” section in Settings.
The Nothing Phone (1) is also receiving the update but lacks the Circle to Search feature. This may be the final major software update for the Phone (1), though Nothing will provide another year of security patches. Meanwhile, the CMF Phone 1 could get at least one more major OS update.
Nothing continues to deliver timely updates for its budget-friendly phones, while Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series still awaits the One UI 7 update.
